The problem
On a fast market, the time between a signal and the order decides the fill. The client needed orders out the moment their trigger fired, with nothing slowing them down in between.
What we built
Orders built before they are needed
Every order is prepared ahead of time, so nothing gets built on the hot path.
Sent on the trigger
When the trigger condition hits, the ready orders go out immediately.
Rust for predictable timing
A small Rust service with one job and no garbage collector pauses, so the send time stays steady under load.
Outcome
The engine adds no order building between the trigger and the send, so reaction time comes down to the network.
